Queens to meet for Royal rendezvous in New York
Witness the making of maritime history!
You love the big pots? Then you shouldn't miss this!
For the first and only time the three majestic Queens of the Cunard Line will meet up at the harbour of New York City! This Rendezvous is scheduled for Sunday, January 13.
You want to go to the Big Apple, but for some reason there is no way? No worries!
We bring you as close as it gets from your home: watch Queen Mary 2, Queen Elisabeth 2 and Queen Victoria all in one spot at digital-seas.com.
At 6:30pm (local time) the trio is to depart individually from each berth to sail past the Statue of Liberty during a fireworks celebration at approximately 7:00pm. Queen Mary 2 will cast off from her home port, the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, while Queen Elisabeth 2 will depart from Pier 92 and Queen Victoria will sail from Pier 88, both in Manhattan.
This event will be a historic occasion, because it is the only time in Cunard's 168-year history that three Queens have been in service at the same time. It will be a welcome and a farewell to the seas of the world at once when the youngest of the three, Queen Victoria, will depart on her maiden world voyage, while the eldest of them, QM2 will sail her 26th and final world cruise.
