Welcome to Hanse Sail 2010
On the weekend of August 5th-8th 2010 Rostock will be crowded: the Hanse Sail will take place for the 20th time and will host once again the world's largest and oldest Windjammers. It's one of the largest maritime festivals in the world and attracts more than 200 sailing ships of all types and sizes from a variety of countries, amongst them the "Sedov", the "Kruzenshtern" and the spectacular "Gulden Leeuw" that has its premiere on the Sail. With a length of 70 meters it is one of the biggest and noblest 3-mast schooners of the Netherlands. It has just gone into service in March 2010.
More than a million visitors are expected during the week.
