Users of Shipplotter, Tresco or FreeAIS Viewers

You can always share your AIS-Reception by including Digital-Seas in your Peer-to-Peer Settings. We opened the server for public-reception and will appreciate new Sharers. In return we will make available a Google Earth .kml file for the sender and a Fleetmon applet for using it on a Homepage.

Every Sharer could greatly improve coverage and the number of Vessels inside the first open ship-datase Digital-Seas.com

You can watch the results of your sharing efforts right away here: http://www.digital-seas.com/open_space/sharing_ais/new_ais_shares.html

I am already using Shipplotter software to see AIS data:

If you have already a receiving station and you are using the shipplotter software to process and publish your data, then you may easily send us your data without interrupting your current system at all. Just configure Shipplotter to additionally send the data to our server.
Go to 'I/O settings' and locate the 'UDP peer-to-peer output section'.
Enable the output to Remote IP 193.189.247.193, Remote port 33000.
That's all.  See the following video for the switches:

You need to upgrade your Flash Player

If you would like to show your data on your own site,
please give us a short message,
we could lead you trough the installation and the neccessary adjustments.

Question: Why are 2 frequencies used ? Can someone explain which one is to prefer, because I read that you can use a VHF scanner (first have to make a data output with only one resistor connected with a soundcard of a computer) tuned on a fixed frequency, but which one of the two ??

Just started sending you data from 85.227.196.129 located in Vänersborg Sweden. This will probably cover ships from the top of the locks in Trollhättan up to Vänersborgsviken in the south of the lake Vänern.

good luck with the weather and the station update, height of the antenna is a major factor :-)

Station will go out for a few days for repairs & should become better, & the coverage will also grow by the end of the month. Major project getting the weather to stop slowing things down.

Dear Piet,
your Texel coverage fits perfectly into the route on the North Sea coast. We will try to close the gaps down to Rotterdam and Antwerp soon. Thank you very much and keep sharing :-) Lars
